Welcome to Troop 149 of High Bridge, NJ!
​Does your son like the outdoors, helping the community, and having fun with his peers? If so Troop 149 can help. We are open for boys, ages 11 - 17, to join us as a scout. Simply come to a troop meeting and sign up. For details about troop meetings please see below.

​The biking campout was a success. We ended up doing a 33 mile trip down to New Hope and back to Tinicum Park, along with a stop at Dilly's Corner for some ice cream. Nothing better on a cold November afternoon than some ice cream! It was a long day, but everyone did well. The next day we did about a 12 mile trip on the Carpoolong Trail to Pittstown where we had lunch. We stopped off to check out the historic Camp Buck, which was Troop 149's private campground back in the early days of the troop. The weather was cold, but nice. A good time was had by all.

There will be no meeting on Thanksgiving. We wish everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving. The next meeting will be December, 2nd. We'll go over the webelos hike and work on requirements.

The annual webelos hike will be on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from about 9am - 3pm. We'll be taking the AOL Scouts on a hike up to Mount Minsi over looking the Delaware Water Gap, which is about a 5 mile total hike. Scouts will have lunch at the top of the ridge. Please let the troop leaders know if you will be attending this hike.

The annual holiday party will be on December, 16th. We'll go enjoy some drinks and snacks, as well as play "The Thing".

Troop Meetings
Troop Meetings are held every Thursday night, between September and June, from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. They are held in the basement meeting room of the High Bridge United Methodist Church. The entrance is through the door in the back near Thomas Street. Meetings ARE NOT held if school is not in session that day. Please see the calendar for specific dates.
Committee Meetings
Committee Meetings are held monthly on the 3rd Tuesday night from 7:30pm - 9:00pm. They are held in the basement meeting room of the High Bridge United Methodist Church, which is the same meeting room that troop meetings are held in. The troop leadership uses these meetings to discuss troop business and upcoming activities. Troop parents are welcome to attend. Please see the calendar for specific dates.
